Dear me, After a long time I am writing this letter to you as I am not getting any letters from you. How many nights passed without writing about you. Honestly, I can’t think of anything. Though we talk every day, every moment but letters have their own importance. Am I right? I really want to know how you are now. I hope you are doing well. Today you are matured but do you recollect your past days? So, have a look! That day the little boy who used to wait for his father, peeking towards the big road holding his mother’s arms, never realized that life is like this. If you had, you would never have dared to leave your mother’s embrace. As soon as you saw your father, you ran towards the main road, the bounds of countless dreams in the chest of that boy may have been somewhere outside this world. I have lost you. I have grown up a lot by losing you in one fell swoop. Many memories remain around you. Even today, I remember walking through the field road and crossing on the way to school. Picking up and eating tin while walking with tin cans on both sides. Stealing and eating guavas from people’s trees, untying the ropes of people’s tethered cows, freeing people’s pet birds from their cages and flying them into the sky were daily occurrences. You were beaten by his father for this. You didn’t like school and also the rules of the school, many times you ran away home. Then the mother was very angry. But maybe you were able to get proper education because of my parents’ strong desire. Congratulations! Your established ‘English Centre’ completed Silver Jubilee (25 years). It is rally praiseworthy that you have been working in the field of education for 27 years. I am astonished how you manage time for writing book! You have already written 10 books on English Grammar and Writing (Composition) and I also come to that two book of yours have already been published in London, United Kingdom and also available in 121 countries. Really I am impressed for your work! I just come to know that you have acquired many National and International awards (Achievements). I am proud of you getting the news that you have awarded the ‘Award-winning International Award’ from LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM. I was speechless when I got the news that you were awarded the Inspirational Educator from NIGERIA and you also awarded for the Contribution to Research & Development in Academic from University of Trunojoyo, and Nigeri Surabaya University of INDONESIA and also received Royal Certificate from AFRICA for contribution in the field education. Recently you have been awarded at Science City in Kolkata where many reporters surrounded you for your bytes. I am so proud of you seeing this. So, concentrate on your works and never give up. I have some advices to give you. Don’t mind you are my best friend and that’s why I am telling you. Remember where you came from. It’s easy to forget the hard work and effort that goes into making us who we are today. Allow your past to remind you of where you were before you got here, and take a moment to appreciate the long journey that made you where you are today. Don’t repeat your mistakes. Your past self will remind you of bad patterns and habits that held you back. It’s always easy to slip back into bad patterns and routines, so take this opportunity to revisit your habits and subconscious actions and make changes in your life. Keep your promises. Your past self will outline their hopes and dreams for the future. It’s easy to forget about your goals when other priorities in life take over. If you haven’t achieved them yet, work from now on to keep the promises you made to yourself to reach these goals. Identify your core values. Life can change drastically and perhaps it is now unrecognizable from your past. But what always remains constant is the essence of your core values. Use the past letter to trace your core values from your past hopes and ambitions to underline the belief systems that shape your identity. Use the letter from your past self to reflect on the current path you are on. Are you going in the right direction? Are you on your way to your desired destination? What do you need to change in your life to achieve your goals? How can you reduce life’s biggest regret? Reflect on your current life and use your letter to recreate your journey. Today I really have nothing to say about you. Because what happened to me in the past few years, I still could not come out of that trauma. I don’t remember any old happy memories. If I close my eyes and think about you, some blurry images appear. Sorry to say you lost your parents many years ago but now you have a good family. Take care of them and spend a happy life with your wife and two daughters. Today, after all these years, whenever I get some time in the busyness of this small life, I sit quietly and graze your memories! Tell me what to do? You are a friend of mine, whom I can’t get back at will, can’t touch with the help of five senses, can’t suddenly run and catch! So I cherish you carefully in a corner of my mind. Touching you again and again by reliving old memories! Yes, you! That day there was not so much technology like today, where would your time go! I don’t think loneliness has ever touched you. Mobile, laptop, TV and hundreds of websites around me. The green light is in the water next to people’s names all day, but I don’t spend time. Sometimes a great loneliness grips me. I can’t find directions. If I were given the chance again I would come back into your life. Will be back countless times. But I firmly believe that once you see my life today, you won’t want to come a second time. No more today. Just keep shining, growing, and being your amazing self.
