A Son’s Tribute: JRS AARON SHALOM Dedicated Story to His Mother Dr. Mrs. R.D. Sathiya
Happy greetings to all of you. I am JRS AARON SHALOM. Studying Fifth Standard in Nirmala High School (CBSE Board), Atmakur, Mangalagiri, Guntur District. Andhra Pradesh State. India. My mother Dr. Mrs. R.D. Sathiya working as a Professor in CSE Department at KL University, Vaddeswaram. Andhra Pradesh State. It is my immense pleasure and happy to share my memorable day with my mother which took place on 23rd March 2025 (Sunday).
This Sunday, my mother and I decided to take a trip to the local market. It is a very big market situated in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Most of the sellers and shop keepers in the market are Poor Farmers. The other side of the market is Fish market. The fisher man’s are coming directly from the sea and selling their products. So, it is very tasty, fresh, more varieties, and very cheap also. So, right from my childhood my mother has taken me to that market and showed me about the purchase process of Fresh vegetables and fruits. As we stepped out of the car, the bustling sounds of vendors calling out their products, the sweet aroma of fresh produce, and the colorful sight of various stalls immediately greeted us.
The market was located in the heart of the city, a vibrant and lively place where people from all walks of life came together in search of the best ingredients and goods. The market was a lively and exhilarating place, with the sounds of people chatting, children laughing, and the occasional honking of cars in the background.
The air was filled with the scents of fresh fruits, vegetables, and street food, creating an energizing and inviting atmosphere. The market was a feast for the senses, with an array of vibrant and eye-catching stalls lining the streets. There were stalls selling an assortment of fresh produce – from ripe, juicy fruits to crisp, colorful vegetables. The bustling fish market was brimming with an array of seafood, including glistening fish, plump shellfish, and glistening prawns, and the aroma of the ocean wafted through the air.
The market also had a variety of stalls selling spices, herbs, and condiments, with their intoxicating aromas swirling around us as we walked along the narrow aisles.
The vibrant array of flowers at the flower stalls added a burst of color to the surroundings, while the stalls showcasing handmade crafts and artisan goods showcased the creativity and skill of local artisans.
While wandering through the market, my mother and I savored the sights and sounds that filled the air. We indulged in some delicious street food and haggled with the vendors, eventually leaving with bags filled with fresh produce and other culinary delights.
Our visit to the market was not just a shopping trip, but an experience that allowed us to appreciate the beauty and vibrancy of our local community. It was a reminder of the rich and diverse culture that surrounds us and the joy that can be found in the simplest of activities.
Note:- One thing I was noticed from my childhood that my mother never bargain with any seller. What ever they have asked without any hesitation my mother has paid. When I was just grown up and able to understand the bargaining power of the purchasing process I asked my mother about this particular thing. She has replied me very calmly and politely described about how the Farmers, Fisherman’s and street vendors living their lives in this competitive world. How they have sacrificed their life’s for our comforts and what are all the problems they are facing from all the corners (finance, Climate condition, life threatening, etc.,). After getting all types of inputs from my mother and on the spot I decided that I am also not to bargain at any cost with these type of people. More over I shared this thought provoking message to my friends also. I strongly believe that then only the society must able to understand the reality of the above mentioned one.
As we made our way back home, I found myself grateful for the opportunity to spend a memorable Sunday with my mother, surrounded by the lively and colorful atmosphere of the market.
